This Example of Practice highlights how Claire, drawing on her rich reading repertoire and knowledge of her class as readers, has connected to and chatted with children online, helping sustain those critical conversations which support children’s engagement in reading.

Based at St Andrews’ C of E Primary in Essex, Claire uses Class Dojo, but whatever platform you use, keeping informal reader to reader chats going is crucial if we are to encourage children’s growth as readers.
