‘Can we read it again?’ Why re-reading matters

All teachers and parents have heard these words, as an eager child wants it read again and again! It can be exhausting!

This short article offers some research-informed thoughts about the role of re-reading. The power of children returning to texts and the evidence which suggests that, as active participants in the story, their talk and their thinking increases as they became more familiar with the book.
