OU/UKLA Teachers’ Reading Groups

The OU and UKLA are pleased to support the 100+ TRGs (Teachers’ Reading Groups) across the UK and beyond. TRGs are led by our excellent, volunteer OU/UKLA leaders.

These groups provide free, evidence–informed CPD to enrich understanding of reading for pleasure (RfP) pedagogy and practice. Our aims are:

1. To foster young people’s RfP through supporting members’ own RfP and research-informed knowledge and practice;

2. To support the profession by building a professional community around RfP locally and online;

3. To share members’ resultant development work on the OU RfP website to inspire and encourage others.

If you’re interested in joining our TRG community, please contact us to find out more WELS-Reading-For-Pleasure@open.ac.uk
