What was your favourite childhood book and why?

It’s SO hard to pick just one – I loved hundreds of books! If I have to choose, I guess I’d say Little Women, by Louisa M Alcott – I identified strongly with story-loving, clumsy, impulsive Jo March.

Which of your own books is your favourite and why?

Again, a super hard question! My first book, Girl, Missing, will always hold a special place in my heart, while Blood Ties and Falling Fast probably contain my favourite storylines and characters. However, the truth is that once a book is finished, I’m always looking to move on to the next, which means that my most recent story (in this case, Secret Sister) is always my favourite.

Why do you choose to read?

I read for great stories – and for the characters inside them that I care about. The best stories grab you (or at least lure you in) on the first page – and never let you go.
