What was your favourite childhood book and why?
I adored Tarka The Otter by Henry Williamson, because it is about the world from an otter’s eyes.
Which of your own books is your favourite and why?
The Mrs Noah series of books, especially Mrs Noah’s Song is among my favourites. I love the illustrations and think of her as a good friend.
Why do you choose to read?
I read because I love the places reading takes me. I love how it helps me see the world through other people’s eyes. I love to escape into a book. I love how 26 small images ( letters) can build worlds in the mind’s eye. I love how I can have friends made from ink and paper.
