University of Chichester TRG – Update from Ruth Clark

It was dark and rainy night in January when the University of Chichester TRG met to discuss Reading for Pleasure Pedagogy, but our regular members turned up with lots of books, enthusiasm and smiles.  We met in the Classroom Resources teaching collection in the University library which is an inspiring place to talk about our reading choices (all available on our padlet). We then talked about the four practices of Reading for Pleasure Pedagogy using examples from our own experiencess and looked at some examples of practice on the OURfP website.  Most of our members have already gathered evidence about the reading practices of their children and we are looking forward to reading their Examples of Practice soon.
