TRG Ramsbottom an update from Casey Lynchey

Our March OU/UKLA TRG was a great success with author Piers Torday joining us for a Q&A session. He spoke about his own favourite books and his opinion about the importance of both reading and writing for pleasure, amongst other things. Afterwards, group members discussed the areas of research-informed practice that they are currently developing and shared the development work they will be uploading to the RfP website this term. It was so rewarding as the group leader to hear about all the creative and exciting things going on in schools to promote reading for pleasure, from lunchtime book clubs to green screen book reviews and even a reading bus in one school!! Look out for great things coming from the members of the Ramsbottom TRG!
