The latest meeting of talented Teachers Reading Group members in Birmingham, saw them choose their area for development. The areas identified ranged from Reading Teachers, developing RfP pedagogies, reading aloud and using non-fiction and poetry. I was particularly pleased to see that one teacher would be diversifying the adults that read aloud to the children in her school. She stated that this would be powerful for her pupils. It was certainly an enriching meeting for all and reflected the determination of the group to drive forward research-informed RfP practices within their setting and inspire children as readers!
