We are a group of fun and friendly primary school teachers who are passionate about reading. We meet in South West London once every half term. Drawing on the research we talk about how to build reading communities in our classrooms and the different ways in which we get to know the children and show them that we are readers too. We look at ideas on the RfP website and shamelessly steal ideas from other teachers' Examples of Practice in order to develop our own research-informed practice. We are working towards sharing these as Examples on the site to inspire others. As well as reading the books in our group's Book Box, we always bring along some books from our own collections to share with each other. We’ve been inspired by everything from Japanese picture books to Canadian poetry.
