Reading for pleasure conference

Elmhurst Teaching School Alliance are holding a one day conference aimed at teachers which will be showcasing practical strategies to promote reading for pleasure in the classroom. Key speakers will be Teresa Cremin (Professor of Education at the Open University); Piers Torday (Carnegie Medal shortlisted author of ‘The Last Wild’ trilogy) and Charlotte Raby & Emily Guile-Marrett (founders of The Children’s Reading Company and authors of books in the BIG CAT series). There will also be workshops run by Jon Biddle and Teresa Cremin.
