BookTrust free events for teachers and librarians

Making Reading Connections in your School

BookTrust are hosting a series of free events this Autumn, visiting 9 cities around England. The events are aimed at school librarians, teachers, and anyone else with an interest in promoting reading for pleasure, with separate primary and secondary sessions.

Working with local practitioners, we’ll be delivering practical sessions focused on engaging students, families and the wider school community with reading for pleasure. The events will support you to develop new approaches and ideas, and create connections through reading.

The teachers and librarians joining us to share their tips include:

Jon Biddle – coordinator of Patron of Reading

Heather Wright – founder of Reading Rocks

Amy McKay – 2016 SLA School Librarian of the Year

Ashley Booth – aka @MrBoothY6
